We are a partnership of community members, UNMC faculty, staff and students, and state and county personnel devoted to implementing successful community-based strategies that improve birth outcomes in the African-American community and ultimately reduce disparities in birth and infant outcomes. We are fortunate to have funding from the State Department of Health and Human Services, the Learning Communities of Douglas and Sarpy Counties, March of Dimes, and from private donors.
Programmatic elements include:
- Pregnancy Peer Support Program
- Mother/Infant Bonding Program
- Infant Language Stimulation Program
- Community-Based Learning Forums
